I was just sorting out some photos that I had made recently
Specular maps in Second Life are texture layers that convey additional rendering information to the graphics engine. This additional information is used in conjunction with standard “diffuse” textures to add a whole new level of detail to otherwise flat surfaces.
I’ve made a couple of tops with Specular maps. With the first one (below) I tried to make a satin cloth, but it looks more like plastic. That can be seen as nice if you are into that sort of thing. The second attempt (above) came out better. Less plastic appearance and the design had a nice sheen when viewed in the light.
I have a new item in my shop, the knotted shirt. I’ve made three plaid variants for the moment (pictured below) plus a free demo for people to try on the shirt before buying.
Some ideas for this are being thought about and I’ll release a few more designs soon. See them here 🙂
Have an opinion? Positive suggestions and ideas are always welcome.
The long awaited Quest 2m v1.2 Mesh is finally here and it promises to be an absolute stunner.
The release is on Thursday 22 May at 1pm SLT at Eden Tern. Landmark sURL.
Qyv and Hawk will be on hand to introduce the new yacht and explain the new features which promise to push the boundaries of SL sailing further than ever before.
Including a working main sheet, working outhaul adjustment and lee sailing, this new Mesh version of the popular 2m will surely be a hit.
Come to the release on Thursday. We’ll race it directly afterwards on the North Sea Short Olympic course a few times to put the yacht though it’s paces.
Pick up a free Ladies T-Shirt or Cami top or a Mens Polo top at the event or on my Marketplace shop.
In time for the forthcoming launch of the updated Mesh Quest 2m, I’ve added some more items to my shop. These include my first Mens item, a nice Polo Shirt, modelled here by my friend Speedy who is famous – at least in Demark – for his blog on the history of Machinima: mirrorworld.dk
Here I am posing on the new Quest 2m v1.2
Really difficult to find decent mens T-shirts or polos, if anyone can point me in the direction of a good wholesale supplier, I’d be grateful.
And also in my shop, a couple of new T-shirts that I made last week:
